2011 began our journey with this vintage beauty. The beginning of a future we would only dream about! Little did we know our dreams would come true. Displayed inside our store.
BUTCHERMAN'S STARTED OUT AS A DREAM OF BRIAN MOTT TO MAKE THE BEST SAUSAGE, AND THIS DREAM TURNED IN SEARCH OF A SAUSAGE RECIPE THAT WOULD MAKE THAT HAPPEN! JEANNETTE, BRIAN'S WONDERFUL WIFE, SUPPORTED HIS DREAM AND THEY WORKED SIDE-BY-SIDE TO MAKE IT A REALITY.
HE MENTIONED HIS DREAM TO A FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR, WHO OFFERED UP AN OLD WORLD FAMILY RECIPE FOR BRIAN TO TRY. BUTCHERMAN'S SAUSAGE WAS BORN! HE USED THE BASIC RECIPE ADDING OTHER SEASONINGS AND FLAVORS TO MAKE A VARIETY OF SAUSAGES. AFTER A LOT OF TESTING AND SAMPLING AND WITH JEANNETTE'S BLESSING, BRIAN WAS READY TO OPEN SHOP AND SELL HIS SAUSAGES TO THE PUBLIC. SO, WITH JEANNETTE'S HELP IN PREPARING THE SAUSAGE, PACKAGING IT, AND ADDING LABELS, THEY OPENED THEIR STOREFRONT. BRIAN IS THE SAUSAGE MAN, BUT JEANNETTE IS THE CASHIER, COMPUTER PERSON AND ALL AROUND HELPER. THEY MAKE A GREAT TEAM!
THE OLD FAMILY RECIPE BELONGED TO JOSEPH ZAWISLAK, WHO USED HIS FATHER'S (WOJIECH ZAWISLAK) RECIPE BROUGHT TO THE UNITED STATES FROM POLAND VIA AUSTRIA IN THE EARLY 1900'S. THE CLEAVER WAS THE ORIGINAL USED BY JOSEPH AND HIS FATHER TO CUT UP THEIR MEATS. HE WOULD BE ESPECIALLY PROUD TODAY TO SEE THAT CLEAVER BEING DISPLAYED BY BRIAN IN HIS STORE AND THE FAMILY RECIPE BEING USED AS THE BASE FOR BRIAN'S FINE GOURMET SAUSAGES.

We are accepting wild game from 8am-6pm!
All wild game must be quartered! Must have proof of sex, must have CWD (chronic waste disease) card of wild game, and no spine upon arrival.
We reserve the right to refuse any wild game that does not smell fresh, or is not cleaned properly.
We inspect all cut-up wild game as it arrives. The wild game is then inspected a second time before further processing. Many blessings!
